NORMALLY CLOSED SOLENOID VALVES
The solenoid valves are considered “pressure accessories” as defined in
Article 2, paragraph 5, of the PED Directive 2014/68/EU and are subject of
Article 4, paragraph 1, letter C of this Directive.
The entire range of production includes normally closed valves, that is,
when energize the solenoid the valve opens.
There are two types of valves, direct acting and diaphragm pilot
operated; in the first type opening and the closing of the orifice passage is
obtained directly by the plunger. In the diaphragm pilot operated, the plunger
is only directed to open the pilot hole of the membrane, which closes the
orifice and needs a minimum differential pressure, between the inlet and outlet
of the valve, in order to lift up the mebrane and allow the passage of the
fluid.

NORMALLY CLOSED SOLENOID VALVES - DIRECT ACTING
The solenoid valves are considered “pressure accessories” as defined in Article 2, paragraph 5, of the PED Directive 2014/68/EU and are subject of Article 4, paragraph 1, letter C of this Directive. The entire range is designed for use with fluids classified by artcicle 13, paragraph 1, letter b of the PED 2014/68/EU as belonging to group 2, or not toxic fluids, not flammable and not explosive; this macro Group also includes the refrigerant fluids belonging to Group A1 classification according to the standard EN-378-1 and listed to the appendix E of mentioned standard. The entire range of production includes normally closed valves, that is, when energize the solenoid the valve opens.

COILS
The KMA series
coils shall powered in alternative current, while KMD with direct current.
Coils are applicable only with normally closed valves. The connection terminals
consit of three fast-on attacks, two from the line and one ground, designed to
be coupled perfectly with DIN43650 connector. All solenoids are in accordance
with the Low voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and the electormagnetic Compatibility
Directive 2004/108/CE.
