tech level Screw valves High pressure
CONSTRUCTION
For all
product types, the valve body is manufactured from hot‑forged brass UNI EN
12420 – CW617N, while the operating spindle is produced from zinc‑plated steel.
Depending on the specific series, external insulation is achieved through
different sealing technologies:
- CSV..HP series: The operating assembly is insulated from the outside by a gasket pack, including two multilayer aramid‑fiber gaskets approved by DIN‑DVGW according to DIN 3535. The operating assembly is removable to facilitate installation, and sealing with the brass body is ensured by an HNBR O‑ring.
- RVV..HP series: The spindle is insulated from the outside by a special sintered‑graphite gasket, which provides exceptionally high sealing performance even at elevated temperatures.
- VHU..HP series: The spindle is insulated from the outside by a gasket pack, including two multilayer aramid‑fiber gaskets approved by DIN‑DVGW according to DIN 3535.
INSTALLATION
For the CSV..HP
and VHU..HP series, it is essential to respect the flow direction
indicated on the valve body. For all series, the installation position may be
chosen freely according to system requirements.
APPLICATION
Screw
valves of the CSV..HP, RVV..HP, and VHU..HP series are
classified as “Pressure accessories” under PED Directive 2014/68/EU,
Article 2, paragraph 5. The entire product range is suitable for use with
refrigerant R744 (CO₂), classified in Article 13, paragraph 1(b) of the
PED Directive as a Group 2 fluid — non‑toxic, non‑flammable, and non‑explosive
— and listed as A1 class in Annex E of EN 378‑1.
According
to Directive 2014/68/EU, the hazard classification of the product depends on:
- the type of fluid used (R744),
- intrinsic dimensions (DN),
- maximum design working pressure (PS).
For the CSV..HP,
RVV..HP, and VHU..HP screw valves, internal nominal diameters
(DN) range from 2.5 mm for the smallest models up to 5.5 mm for
the largest versions. Maximum operating pressures, as specified in the
technical tables, do not exceed 130 bar for both series.
In
accordance with Table 7 of Annex II of PED Directive 2014/68/EU, all
products fall within the scope of Article 4.3.
