Cap-type valves for tanks and hermetic units
Cap-type valves are classified as "pressure equipment accessories" according to the PED 2014/68/EU Directive, Article 2, paragraph 5 and are subject to Article 4, paragraph 1, letter c of the same directive.
The function of cap-type valves is to intercept the flow of fluid, for example in liquid receivers (RVV & RHV series), allowing maintenance operations to be carried out; they are also used in systems that use hermetic compressors (VHU series) and in high-pressure applications (120 bar).
The valve body is made of hot-forged brass UNI EN 12420 – CW617N while the operating stem is made of galvanized steel.
The entire product range is suitable for use with fluids belonging to group 2, as defined in Article 13, paragraph 1, letter b of the PED 2014/68/EU Directive, therefore non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive fluids; this macro-group also includes refrigerants listed and classified in group A1 of Annex E of the EN 378-1 standard.
