SIGHT GLASSES AND MOISTURE LIQUID INDICATORS
Sight glasses and moisture liquid indicators are classified as "pressure equipment accessories" pursuant to Directive PED 2014/68/EU, Article 2, paragraph 5, and are subject to Article 4, paragraph 1, letter c, of the same Directive. The entire product range is suitable for use with fluids belonging to Group 2, as defined in Article 13, paragraph 1, letter b, of Directive PED 2014/68/EU, therefore non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive fluids; this macro-group also includes refrigerants listed and classified in group A1 of Annex E of standard EN 378-1. Saddle-type sight glasses are excluded from the scope of Directive 2014/68/EU as piping components.
Liquid Indicators
All indicators in the product range are suitable for use with fluids belonging to Group II, as defined in Article 9, Section 2.2 of Directive 97/23/EC, therefore non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive fluids; this macro Group II also includes refrigerants listed and classified L1 in Annex E of standard EN 378-1: 2011.Construction: Moisture - the liquid and moisture indicators are manufactured with a glass lens directly embedded in the hot-forged brass body EN 12420 - CW 617N. This construction reduces the joining points between the components to avoid possible refrigerant leaks.

Moisture indicators are considered "pressure equipment accessories" as defined in Article II, paragraph 5, of Directive PED 2014/68/EU and are subject to Article 4, paragraph 1, letter C, of the same Directive. The entire series has been designed for the use of refrigerant R744 (CO2) classified by Article 13, Paragraph 1, Letter B, of Directive PED 2014/68/EU as belonging to Group II, i.e. a non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive fluid and indicated in Appendix E of standard EN 378-1 as belonging to group A1. The function of moisture indicators is to verify in real time the regularity of the flow and the presence of moisture in the system.
